*Important Update*

The CPSIA (Consumer Protection Safety Improvement Act) lead testing requirements do NOT go into affect on Feb. 10, 2010.

The committee has issued an additional indefinite stay to the enactment of the law while they further determine clarifications/exemptions/rulings to the application thereof.

However, manufacturers and importers are still accountable for selling untainted product and they still need to ensure that products meet the standards outlined in the law.  It is only the testing that will not be enforced.
