Unfinished Soft Velvet Bows for Headbands or Hair-Bows

Our soft and plush center tied velvet bows are a hair-bow maker's dream!  The velvet bows are pre-sewn and pre-tied, ready to simply attach to the hair accessory of choice.

These velvet bows are adorable on a stretchy nylon headband for babies, as a set of piggy hair-bows or a single clip, or on a ponytail.

Size: Approx. 3.5" across bow loops. The centers are tied, not sewn, so the loop size can be adjusted smaller or larger.

*Please note that these bows are hand-sewn and they will have some slight variations such as the angles of the tails, tail and loop lengths, etc. and it is not considered a defect if all bows are not exactly the same

How to Attach:

Step 1 - Glue back of bow to headband, hair-clip, or ponytail (glue optional on ponytail)

Step 2 option A (glue) - Wrap bow center around front center of bow, right side out.  Hot glue one end to the back side of the headband, clip, or ponytail. Hot glue the inside of the same end (just a small amount of glue will do) so it is securely attached.  Glue the other end of the center piece on top of the other end, making sure that it does not stick out too far and show (the center should be fairly loose, not pulled extremely tight) and then add another small drop of glue in the center of that end piece as well so that it lays as flat as possible.

Step 2 option B (sewing) - Wrap bow center around the front of the bow inside out (seam should be on the outside) and place ends together.  Sew across both ends at the same time around 1/4" from the ends.  After sewing, flip the center strap over so all seams and loose ends are on the inside.  This option gives a better appearance and is more comfortable than the glue method as it lays flatter with no exposed ends.  Please note that if using an alligator clip, it is best to sew the center piece on the bow first and then simply slide the top prong of the clip under the back of the bow center.
