Glitter Dragonfly Clip

Contributor post by Danielle at Korker Krazy Even though the warm weather continues to elude us, the calendar says spring IS officially here!  While you wait for the mercury to rise, grab some pretty ribbons and make a pair of these adorable little dragonfly hair-clippies to have ready to slip on once the temps heat up (hopefully very, very soon!)

Supplies Needed: 3/8" Glitter Ribbon in Brown 3/8" Shocking Pink Grosgrain Ribbon 3/8" Bubblegum Grosgrain Ribbon 3/8" Light Pink Grosgrain Ribbon 1/4" Brown Grosgrain Ribbon Alligator Clip Hot Glue Gun & Glue Scissors Lighter

Gather your supplies and cut your ribbon.

You need one alligator clip. Two 1.5" pieces of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. One piece of each size in your three pink ribbons. (5", 4", 3") One 4.5" piece of your brown glitter ribbon and one 2" piece of your brown glitter ribbon.

Line up your three different sizes of one color of ribbon.

Glue each piece on top of each other in the center. The longest piece should be at the bottom.

Starting with the top ribbon fold each side over to make a loop and glue down in the center.

Repeat the above steps with each of your pink ribbons.

Glue all three pieces together in the center.

Wrap your 2" piece of glitter ribbon around the center of your dragonfly body.

Now glue your antenna's together. Line your clip with your glitter ribbon.

Glue your antennas to the back of your dragonfly body.

Glue your lined clip onto the back of your dragonfly body.
