Easter is just around the corner and it's time to get "hopping" if you haven't made any festive hair embellishments yet! Lucky for you, we have an adorable little bunny hair clip tutorial to save the day. You may already have some ribbon scraps on-hand in pastel spring-time colors that will fit the bill.
Cut your ribbon and heat seal the ends.
Light Orchid Swiss Dots
3 - 6" pieces
1 - 4.5" piece
2 - 3.5" pieces
2 - 3" pieces
Stack your three 6" pieces together. Thread your needle.
Thread your needle through the center of the ribbons, making sure the dotted side is facing the bottom of the needle.
Spread your ribbons out and loop the left bottom ribbon over onto the needle.
Continue looping the ribbons on the left side over onto the needle.
Loop the bottom right side ribbon over onto the needle.
Continue looping the other right side ribbons onto the needle.
Hold the center of your bow so the ribbons don't move around. Thread your needle through the center several times, wrap the thread around the bow and tie it off.
Wrap the center of your bow with a coordinating piece of ribbon.
Add your pearl or rhinestone center to the center of the bow. This will be your bunny's nose.
Form bunny ears with your 3.5" swiss dot pieces. Make sure your ears are long and not too round.
Form the same shape bunny ears with your white ribbon pieces.
Layer the ears together by gluing the white pieces on top of the light orchid pieces.
Glue your ears to the back of your bow. Make sure they are even.
Line your alligator clip with your last piece of swiss dots ribbon.
Flip your bow over and add the clip to the back.
Your hand-made Easter bunny hair clip is finished and ready to wear!
