It's Shoe Box Time!

It's that time of year when most people are busy planning their big T-day meal that is quickly approaching, but for those that participate in the annual Operation Christmas Child charity event, it's SHOE BOX TIME!  Millions of collective shoe boxes are being filled across the nation with clothing, toys, candy, and necessities to be distributed in a few weeks to children in poverty around the world. The HairBow Center is teaming up this year with a local charity that is filling a number of boxes and we are providing the hair accessories for the boxes being given to girls.  It may seem ironic, but we don't get the opportunity to actually MAKE cute things with all the stuff we are sending to our customers very often, so Beth H. and Beth C. (yes, it can get a little confusing around here) jumped on the chance to gather some goodies and the glue gun and whip up some fun hair-flower/headband combos.

Collection for the Operation Christmas Child boxes is through the end of this week, so if you haven't packed a box yet, there is STILL TIME! You can read all about the charity and your local shoe box drop-off location at the official Samaritan's Purse web-site.
